Mon Seul Desir

Inspired by the punk scene and (political) demonstrations, I reimagined the 16th century tapestry about desire into a contemporary work. This tapestry is meant be a conversation starter and tries to make the viewer think and reflect on our society. The theme of power and desire is one that can be found all throughout history. Political, sexual, mental and financial power; these are the things that our society is build on. This tapestry is a bridge between the old and the new, mixing classical symbolism and modern day problems with each other to make the viewer question their own beliefs.
