With e-waste becoming an increasingly significant problem, I explored a hypothetical solution. What if this new standard could have capabilities that go beyond simple electrical connections, while also helping reduce the amount of e-waste? With this prototype, the charging brick provides the option to charge devices at both low and high rates, making it interchangeable between devices like laptops and smartphones, reducing the need for additional electronics. The plug and socket feature magnetic connections and smart sensors for dynamic power delivery, only when plugged in.
